With simple but striking volume. This is Guarita’s House.
The stone base serves as support for the large exposed concrete bar that houses the intimate area. The 5-meter swing catches the attention of passers-by and serves as a shelter for cars upon arrival. The next steps are towards the access hall, which is located between two stone volumes, separated by the door and its protective marquee made entirely of hardwood (grapia). This same wood covers the entire ceiling of the house's social area, which is organized by a central circulation axis. From there, we distributed the kitchen, dining, living room, suite and created an internal courtyard that promotes excellent lighting and ventilation, in addition to bringing the garden into the house and creating an incredible ambiance! The mass of vegetation hides the windows of the bathroom and the bathroom of the suite, thus providing more privacy for the uses without losing the view of the garden.

The outdoor pool surrounded by vegetation is a family meeting point at the end of a full day at the beach. Moments of relaxation overlooking the lake and at the same time very integrated with your living space. The parrilla was positioned strategically, with total integration with the balcony and back patio in mind, but internally so that it can be enjoyed even on the coldest winter days.

The kitchen is the heart of the house and is located in front of the internal courtyard so that the eastern sun shines in and keeps you company during long breakfasts on vacation days at the beach. With a generous island, it houses the stools and the cooktop. The rear part of the kitchen is built under the staircase that leads to the second floor. This is a compact solution that efficiently uses the space created by the steps.

This staircase takes us to the circulation corridor of the intimate area. This in turn is positioned next to the south facade, favoring the 3 suites that open to the best orientations, starting with the east front, passing through the north of the entire side facade and ending with the sunset with a view of the lake in the suite. main.

The woody vinyl floor here replaces the materiality of the wooden lining in the social area and everything else is lighter, so that there is a balance between the elements.

In the master suite bathroom, a soaking tub provides the last moment of relaxation before a pleasant night's sleep. All openings in the bathrooms and the side suite face north, which brings sunlight throughout the day to the interior of the second floor.

In addition to the internal courtyard and volumetric strategies to make better use of solar orientation, the Guarita’s House also has photovoltaic panels that generate its own energy and a cistern to capture rainwater that is used to irrigate the beautiful garden.
