"Three years from the planning commission to the handover of a high-rise building - that's a word and only possible with good teamwork," explained project manager Marco Franzmann recently, on the occasion of the opening of the "Hochpunkt" for the new Böblingen district hospital (Baden-Württemberg, Germany).
The efficiency team included our office in Lustenau (design: Hugo Herrera Pianno), the general contractor Georg Reisch, the landscape architects Planstatt Senner and the engineering office Sulzer, Vogt. Representatives from politics and the Southwest Hospital Association also cut the ribbon at the opening. Philippe Rettenbacher, Hugo Herrera Pianno, Alexandra Prommegger and Elke Breitegger from the Lustenau office were also present.
With a height of 48 meters and 13 floors, the "Hochpunkt" lives up to its name. It offers almost 16,000 square meters of space for non-medical areas such as the administration of Klinikverbund Südwest, the Academy for Healthcare Professions, a boarding house and a company daycare center with space for 30 children. In his opening speech, Marco Franzmann also explained why the new tower is particularly sustainable. "The elegant façade is made of high-quality materials, such as bricks specially processed in the traditional way. The floor plan structure of 24x50 meters per floor is so flexible that a wide variety of functions can be incorporated. Last but not least, the building is beautiful and can therefore "age with honor".
