The Université de l'Ontario français (UOF) is Ontario’s first French-language university governed for and by Franco-Ontarians. Rooted in downtown Toronto’s East Bayfront, an emerging start-up and innovation neighbourhood, the 50,000 sf campus is home to the mobilization and creation of French-language education in Ontario. One of Europe’s biggest structural change projects is currently taking place in the southern district of Dortmund city. What was once the home of glowing steel and smoking chimneys is now an area of recreation with the newly created Phoenixsee lake. Numerous linear-style buildings are settling along its shore.One of the most elegant buildings stands directly alongside the small harbour basin - the RIVA residential and commercial building. Amazon’s newest tower in Seattle, known as block 20. The building architects are nbbj design and the building was built by Sellen Construction Moz Designs fabricated perforated metal walls and screen partitions for this project in a gradient color. Architectural Elements installed the screens, while Pacific Cabinets installed the wall panels.12 Screens in the Dining Area were made from 1/8” thick Perforated metal with 3/16″ diameter holes and Custom Gradient Color. Screens were set in a frame and measured roughly 4’ x 9’ in size.In the Elevator lobby, our Metal Key-slot wall panels were used in a Custom Gold Gradient color and Coarse grain pattern. Located in Pickering just east of Toronto, this major pedestrian bridge over Highway 401 and CN rail lines connects the GO train transit station on the south side to parking and commercial development to the north. Constructed of a simple exposed truss and clad in perforated metal panels, the undulating sculptural form provides dramatic framed views east and west along the highway.  Programmable LED lighting creates vibrant changing light patterns at night.   When Teeple Architects commissioned me, we immediately discussed aerial photography as a way to showcase the sheer length of the pedestrian bridge, as well as the context, from local buildings to the nearby Ontario lake, all the way to the Toronto skyline.   With the...
