Renlita Custom Opening Solutions como Fabricantes

The Project

A 326,500 square foot mixed-use development designed by The RBA Group. The Railyard, located in the historic South End of Charlotte, NC, required a unique and functional architectural feature to enhance its retail, restaurant, and office spaces. The development sought a solution that would provide natural light, allow for an open-air environment during favorable weather, and maintain energy efficiency. Positioned at the heart of a bustling area filled with shopping, parking, and various activities, The Railyard aimed to install an eye-catching, practical door that would serve as an architectural focal point for the community.

Our Solution

Renlita provided The Railyard with a custom S-3000 Foldaway vertical lift bifold door. This massive door opens into the adjacent courtyard, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor spaces. The door features insulated low-e glass, which allows natural light to flood the interior while blocking harmful solar UV rays. Renlita's design includes an interlocking truss system and a balanced approach that ensures the door opens fully with minimal space loss, a significant improvement over traditional hydraulic bifold doors. Enhanced with extra safety measures like inertia brakes, the S-3000 Foldaway door guarantees reliable operation even with its substantial size.
